What are cursed fonts?
“Cursed fonts” are not fonts at all. They are ordinary letters with extra Unicode characters stacked on top, through and underneath them. Your keyboard cannot type those characters, which is why a generator exists: you type normal text here, the tool adds the marks, and you copy the result into any app that accepts text.
Because the output is plain Unicode, it travels anywhere a text field does — Discord usernames, TikTok bios, Instagram captions, game lobbies, meme templates. No app to install, no font to download, nothing to embed.
How to use the cursed text generator

Drag the intensity slider to go from a light haunting to full zalgo, and switch the above / through / below marks on or off to shape the effect. Hit Re-roll to get a different random variant of the same intensity. When you like one, tap Copy and paste it where you want it.

Where cursed text works (and where it doesn’t)
Most platforms display combining marks correctly, but each one counts them differently. A single cursed letter can be 5–15 characters long, so a 32-character Discord display name fills up after a few letters. The counter under each result shows the real length. Some games and forms strip combining marks entirely; if your text comes back clean, use one of the letter-swap styles (gothic, script, circled) instead — those are single characters and survive almost everywhere.

Why does my cursed text look different on another device?
Each device draws combining marks with its own system font, so the stacking height and shape vary. The text itself is identical.
Does cursed text work on Discord, TikTok and Instagram?
Yes for messages, bios and captions. Usernames and display names have short limits and sometimes strip marks, so prefer light intensity or a letter-swap style there.
Can I turn cursed text back to normal?
Yes — paste it into the Uncurse tool and it strips every combining mark and converts fancy letters back to plain ones.
Does it work with Vietnamese or other accented letters?
Cursed and glitch styles work on any script, including Vietnamese with full diacritics. The gothic/script styles only have Latin A–Z equivalents in Unicode, so accented letters stay as they are.
